California bungalow
A modest and playful garden. We wanted a garden that felt safe, immersive and private. A living space to unwind where nature and lifestyle converge. We first moved here over 10 years ago and the existing garden was not much to speak of. There was a run down steel shed for storing timber, dilapidated chicken coop and an old hills hoist in the middle of the yard. Initially most of the planting was done within the first 4 years although some changes have been made to the front prairie garden, lower planting has now been installed to accommodate the parrotia persica tree.
